Nobody said that it is not free.
I'm offering services, and it is a legitimate business. Since there are lot
of people who is unable to fill out a simple application form, (last year
1.9 million applications were denied for improper filing), this kind of
servic have a great public demand.
On the other hand INS charges $5.10 for the instruction only.

This is the kind of attitude that I believe will eventually get us
somewhere. I've seen enough flame discussions where people in actual
fact only re-organise their prejudices when what they should be doing is
some genuine re-thinking. (Yes, there is an allusion here to a certain
literary figure.)

I hope Fred's text will prompt other, equally solid contributions to
this group. It's kind of nice even to disagree with people who have
manners.

Is the information flow so slow to Ĺbo Akademi that you haven't heard
about "the revolution" concerning the roots of the Finns and Finnish?

For long time it was thought that language and genetics go together so
that according to the fact that Finnish came from the Ural, the Finns
came also from the Ural. Couple of years ago it was corrected that the
Finnish language came from the Ural and the genetic pool of the Finns
came from the western- or central Europe. The genetics of the Finns is
75% western European and 25% Asian. 

The last time I red about this was today.

"Az Apostoli Szentszeknek a Magyar Kormany bizottsagaval targyalo
kuldottsege az 1 %-os torvennyel kapcsolatos allaspontjarol az alabbi
tajekoztatast adja:

        Az allampolgarok szemelyi jovedelemadoja 1 %-anak szabad
felhasznalasat szabalyozo torvenyre a kormany ket torvenyjavaslatot is
benyujtott, melyeket a Parlament nem szavazott meg. Az elso javaslat
szerint egy evvel el kellett volna halasztani a torveny megalkotasat, a
masodik az egyhazi intezmenyeket nem sorolta a kedvezmenyezettek korebe,
mivel az egyhazak finanszirozasarol egy masik, kes=F4bbi torveny=
 rendelkezett
volna.
        A nevezett torveny megalkotasanak egy evvel torteno elhalasztasat

kedvezmenyezettjei lehetnek az 1 %-os felajanlasnak. Ezek kozott szerepel
"a lelkiismereti es vallasszabadsagrol, valamint az egyhazakrol szolo
torveny (IV/1990) szerinti egyhaz, vallasi felekezet, vallasi kozosseg
stb. ... kozszolgalati (kozcelu) illetoleg hitoktatasi tevekenysege."

        Ebben a helyzetben a Katolikus Egyhaz NEM KIVAN ELNI AZZAL A
LEHETOSEGGEL, AMELYET A TORVENY A JELENLEGI FORMAJABAN BIZTOSIT. Indokai
a kovetkezok:
        1) A Szentszek es a Magyar Kormany kozott mar tobb honapja
allamkozi targyalasok folynak, melyeknek temai kozott egyhazfinanszirozasi
kerdesek is szerepelnek. A Parlament a torveny elfogadasanal ezt a tenyt
nem vette figyelembe.
        Lehetetlen, hogy a Szentszek kuldottsege ne csodalkozzon, es ne
erezzen csalodottsagot, amikor kesz tenyek ele allitjak olyan temaban,
amelyrol targyalasok vannak folyamatban.
        2) A Szentszek kuldottsege az 1 %-rol alkotott torvenyt nem tartja
alkalmasnak az egyhazi kozszolgalati tevekenysegek akar reszbeni
finanszirozasara sem, mert az 1990. IV. tv. 17. par. (1) bekezdesben
felsorolt tevekenysegekre ugyanennek a torvenynek a 19. par.-a a hasonlo
allami intezmenyekkel azonos koltsegvetesi tamogatast ir elo. A fentiek
alapjan hatranyos megkulonboztetest jelentene az adofizetok valasztasatol
fuggove tenni azoknak az intezmenyeknek - akar csak reszbeni -
finanszirozasat, amelyeket a hivatkozott torveny alapjan letesitettek.
        3) A Szentszek kuldottsege meglepetessel ertesult olyan
kijelentesekrol, miszerint az adofizetok altal az egyhazi intezmenyeknek
tett felajanlas mutatokent szolgalna annak megallapitasara, hanyan
tartoznak az adott egyhazhoz, illetve hanyan tamogatjak azt. Ez a felfogas
egy teljes egeszeben torz es hianyos kepet alakitana ki, mivel kizarolag
gazdasagi-statisztikai adatokat vesz figyelembe a vallasi hovatartozas
megallapitasara, ugyanakkor erdekellentetet feltetelez es erdekellentetet
gerjeszt a kultura es a tudomany vilaga, a karitativ es humanista
szervezetek, az egyhazak valamint az egyeb kozcelu intezmenyek kozott. =20
